Your FREE Gift: How to Add 300 Words to Any Essay in 15 NOT to Write a Thesis Statement (Essay Introduction)
You've been taught to write the opening paragraph of your essay or research paper a certain way. In this video you will learn why it doesn't really work and what to do instead.
When it comes to writing the opening paragraph, the instruction the students get from their professors is usually to state their thesis as the last sentence of the opening paragraph.
I never teach my students to do it this way, for two reasons. First, as a reader, I want to know your main point as soon as possible so as to avoid wasting time.
And second, if you’re not sure what exactly your main point is, meaning your thesis, then you will struggle when writing the rest of the essay. I explain why in the video.
You will also learn exactly how to write that perfect thesis statement that will make it so much easier for you to write the rest of the essay.
My method will give you clarity on your main point and provide an outline for the rest of your essay or term paper.
I’ll be talking more about opening paragraphs in future videos, so don’t forget to subscribe and pick up your gift at me on Facebook:
