How To Write Policy Implications In PhD Research (& What Are Practical Implications In Research?)

How To Write Policy Implications In PhD Research? Practical implications in a research paper occur when you provide 2-3 recommendations for practitioners such that they can readily implement some strategies based on what you found in your research paper.

If your paper is well written and thoughtful, the practical implications should be fairly obvious. However, if you cannot find practical implications, pick up a trade journal and read some of the current issues that are occurring in the industry.

What is The Difference Between Research Implications and Recommendations and Policy or Practical Implications? Research implications tend to be broader in focus and more abstract then policy or practical implications.

How Do You Write Policy Implications In PhD Research? Policy implications are different then practical implications. Policy implications are geared towards institutional members who can affect governance and oversight of a larger number of individuals or firms. What you are thinking about with policy implications of your research are what and how an industry or a group of individuals or firms are going to be better off from your findings.

What you are looking for with both policy and practical implications recommendations that are:

1. Easy to implement.

2. Have quick results.

3. Results can be easily observed.

4. Easy to remember.

Should You Write Practical Implications In Your Journal Article?

In general, practical implications tend to be discouraged in the review process, so I would only provide practical implications if the specific journal requires them. moreover, you have to ask yourself about the role of your research idea - is the research idea to find something new and novel to stretch other people's minds?

Or, is the research idea to actually make a change? If it is this option, often the best way to encourage change is to have people think more broadly for themselves.

The goal of the platform is to get people to 'pay it forward' and help other people out by creating incentives for people to give back.
