Types of Essay l IELTS Writing task 2

There are 2 types of essay in Ielts writing module, opinion essays and analytical essays. opinion essay category involves agree or disagree questions, discussion essay questions and outweighing essay questions. analytical essays consist of questions asking to write advantages or disadvantages , problem and solution essays, problem and effects, effects and solutions and so on.

To what extend do you agree or disagree , this type of question usually comes under agree-disagree category. This is quite confusing for IELTS test takers and chances are more to get deviated from the topic given. In this video i cover "to what extend do you agree or disagree" type questions in detail. You will get a better understanding about how the answer should be.

It is indeed very crucial to know about the types of questions in IELTS writing task 2 in detail in order to avoid task deviation and score high band.

Each IELTS essay answer should be different according to the question. all writing task 2 essays should have 3 parts, introduction, body paragraphs and a conclusion.Introduction is the key to the whole essay so introduction of any IELTS task 2 essay should contain the answers to the question asked in the IELTS question paper. Number of body paragraphs may vary according to the type of essay in IELTS.

conclusion is a must in any IELTS essay. IELTS test evaluate how you organise your essay. so your IELTS essay should be well organised.

here in this video I give more preference to IELTS writing task 2 because it carries more score than IELTS task 1. Task 2 questions are almost same for both academic and general IELTS candidates. They only differ in the difficulty level. But IELTS task 1 questions are entirely different for both academic and general candidates.

Spend more time on IELTS task 2 essay question as it gives you more points than IELTS task 1.
