☑ college admissions committees expect college admission essays to be very unique and to show the college admission essay writer's unique style. The only standard, however, is that the college essay is in fact an essay, and not a blog post. Writers are usually guided by a set of very basic guidelines that govern the writing of a college essay, some of which might seem incongruous to some writers. As a college essay writer myself, I'm here to help you understand the basic rules that govern how to write your college admission essay.

Essays should include words and sentences that make sense to your reader. They shouldn't sound pretentious, but they shouldn't make an article look like a magazine article either. It's best to combine a lot of good ideas in your essay, but you shouldn't rely on too many ideas at once. If you use too many, they'll seem nonsensical and instead of being "interesting" they'll just seem like you're trying to sell them as an idea. A college essay should show what you know, not what you think you know.

It's a good idea to break up your essay into parts, depending on how you'll be presenting the information you want to convey. Your college admission essay has three main parts, and most colleges require that you write your college admission essay in four sections: introduction, body, conclusion, and a final. Your introduction is often the first part of your essay, and most colleges allow that you may start off with an introduction to a chapter of your essays. Body and conclusion are the next two parts, and those portions vary a great deal from college to college. Finally, your last section is the concluding portion of your college admission essay, and this depends on how you will be presenting your answers to the points you wish to make.
